The Elderslie Suite
The Elderslie room has a private passage entrance, once used by the Governess: its main door leads into the Great Hall (see image at left).
The ELDERSLIE provides an ambience in keeping with the first family: Some original gowns and dresses still hang in the superb combination Ward-Robe: Mrs Reid's millinery remains in the hat closet. The extra large queen room and canopy bed is virtually as it would have been in 1900: the adjacent full bathroom en-suite with claw foot bathtub and separate large shower combines the virtues of old and new plumbing with contemporary central heating. Room services include fine china for tea & coffee.
The traditional features and romantic lighting make it a first choice for couples retreating for special anniversaries and it is ideal for honeymooners.
The ELDERSLIE SUITE acknowledges the special history and character of the original estate.
